ROOKS

So this weekend is, yet another, ROOKIES Show. ROOKIES is a local clothing company established by some of my good friends in Hammond. To raise money for their company, they throw these shows that have local bands play and they sell their merchandise there. ROOKIES  supports the local music scene, as I do, and in return, many of the bands support the company. I am not even comletely sure that I am allowed to go to this show tomorrow, but hopefully I can. If anyone is interested in going, it'll be at the basement at the Hammond Methodist Church. Doors open at 6 (I believe) and bands start playing at 7. It costs money to get in, but it's not to expensive. Get out this weekend and support the local music scene.

I Just Wanna Stay a Kid

So yesterday, the sophmores took the P-SAT's and it actually got me thinking... what am I going to do after I get out of high school? I'm not even sure I have the right skills to do what I actually want to do... plus, I'm not even sure what I intend to do with my life. My grades are not the best at the moment, but I actually want to do something with myself. I want to go to college and I want to further my educational background. I think I want to major in a social science like sociology or a psychologist. I would love to be a doctor but I can't stand the sight of blood and, let's face it, too much work. I'm going on my thirs year of high school and the years are just flying past me. College is going to be here sooner than I expect and I should start thinking about my future plans. Am I the only one who is scared and over-thinking this situation?

This Weather.

The weather we have right now is terrible. I know I probably sound like one of those old people complaining, but we had such nice weather for straight two weeks... then, just like our luck, the weather started getting cold on the week of our spring break. I watched the weather last night and they were talking about a snow storm warning just south of us, by Pittsburgh.

Getting to my Destination

I literally have to ride the train in my costume. I mean, I'm sure I'll be making friends with all the nice and socialable gangsters in the East Chicago area just preyingon some Comic Con nerds to beat. If I was Link, no one would touch me... I'd just whip out my sword. I've been getting crap all day about going to this and frankly, I'm so excited. People don't believe that I'm really that nerdy, but they obviously haven;t seen me in a comic book store or checked my phone.

COMIC CON

Tomorrow I am going to one of the most amazing and breath-taking things a Chicagoian can go to: Comic Con. I'm dressing up as Misty from the good ol' days of Pokemon and my bestfriend Stephanie Carpenter is dressing as Ash Ketchem. I'm going to meet the creator of Spider-Man, Stan Lee (I don't even like Spider-Man) and the creator of Zelda, the reason I live. SOO PUMPED.

Friday the 13th

Even though it's supposed to be the day of bad luck, my day hasn't even gone day...yet. Tomorrow is going to me absolutely amazing and I am just so pumped.!
